Meta:How to add a dive site

From Dive Atlas

Adding a new dive site is easy!

First, search for the dive site name to see if it already exists. If it exists, please contribute to the existing article instead of making a new one.

If it doesn't exist, you will see a red link on the search result page, like this:

Click the red link to add a new page

Click on it and you will be brought to an empty page whose title is what you searched for. Alternatively, you can use the "create page" form to create a new page.

Once in your new page, you will see a notification like this:

Click the "click here" text. This will load the template for a dive site article into the page.

Guidelines for Dive Site Articles[edit source]

Just start adding content to the appropriate sections. Don't worry too much about organizing it into sections properly. You don't have to fill out every section either. Just add as much information about the site as you can!

Please respect copyright when adding text and images. Refer to this article; the policies for copyright on Wikipedia generally apply here.

You can cite external sources by using <ref> tags. Just wrap your reference information, such as a hyperlink or book citation, in <ref></ref> tags like this:

The ocean is deep! <ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocean</ref>

It will be added to the "References" section on the bottom of the page.
